The HCL company announced its new Chairman . The 38-year-old  Roshni Nadar Malhotra is new Chairman of HCL Technologies. She is the only child of HCL's founder, Shiv Nadar.  She was the Executive Director and and hold the post of  CEO of HCL. she was ranked 54^th among the list of Forbes World's 100 Most Powerful Women in 2019 and  also she is the richest woman in India According to IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List  of 2019.

 

Intro

Roshni is an alumni of the Northwestern University. She has mojor focus on Communication, Radio, TV and Film. She has done MBA in Social Enterprise Management. Before joining HCL she had worked in many companies as a producer.

Before CEO in HCL she had worked as trutee of  Shiv Nadar Foundation. The Shiv Nadar foundation is running a Engineering College name Sri  Sivasubramaniya Nadar college in Chennai.

Roshni has been working in brand making  across the HCL Group. She  also hold chairperson post of Vidya Gyan Leadership Academy, which is a leadership academy for economically underprivileged meritorious students of rural areas of Uttar Pradesh.

Roshni is also passionate in wildlife  conservation.

·         HCL Technologies posted 31.7 per cent rise in net profit

HCL technologies  posted 31.7 per cent rise on friday in  net profit at Rs 2,925 crore for the first  quarter of 2020, and also said that Shiv Nadar has stepped down from the Chairman's role. Nadar's daughter, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, will succeed him with immediate effect. 

 

Roshni has also taken over as Chairperson on the Board of HCL

Roshni Nadar Malhotra has  taken over as the Chairperson on the Board of HCL Technologies, a leading global technology organization with a market capitalization of $20.5 billion.

Shiv Nadar to continue as Managing Director of HCL Technologies

"... Shiv Nadar, who expressed his desire to step down from the position of Chairman. Mr Nadar would continue to be MD of Company with designation as Chief Strategy Officer," the filing said.

HCL Technologies President and CEO  Vijayakumar - "The adverse conditions during this quarter had an anticipated negative impact on our revenue. I am happy to report that the resilience of our operating model helped us deliver stellar operating margins and cashflows,"

He added "We also renewed several large deals during the quarter. We are seeing a robust demand environment and a strong pipeline which gives us confidence in our growth trajectory going forward,"
